Turns the performance of the radio up to it's maximum capability.

Tech Notes:

Microphone, that is included, is a manufacturer's upgrade from the standard stock mic. Although this is a Noise Canceling Mic, it does not perform as well as an Astatic 636L or an RK-56, making either of these an excellent choice as a replacement mic.

Dynamic Squelch Control - This feature makes this THE quietest radio ever built. It sets squelch level automatically, you will not hear incoming signal unless it is above the background noise level (a feature borrowed from amateur equipment like the HR2510).

This radio is built with a 20 watt (PEP) Final. Although it is limited to 3.8 watt (RMS) maximum performance from the factory, we recommend a Peak and Tune.
